We had the most wonderful time on Monday 8th June celebrating the launch of The Pedigree Edit with Sophie Paterson Interiors and Andrew Martin at the Mandarin Oriental, Mayfair. It was one of those afternoons that unfolded in the most effortless way from the very beginning, and I can honestly say I have never taken so many photographs in my life.

The room was filled with champagne, scones, cucumber sandwiches and a buzzing atmosphere, not to mention around twenty of the best-groomed dogs in London who seemed to settle in as though they had been coming here for years. Dachshunds were very much the breed of the afternoon, which felt entirely right given that Pip, Sophie's beloved dachshund, was one of the original inspirations behind the collection. One of our wonderful influencer guests even runs a holiday home exclusively for dachshunds, which might be the most charming thing I have ever heard.

Among the four-legged guests was Tennessee, a Chihuahua whose parents stood out to me immediately because of how fun and fashionably dressed they were, so it really is no surprise she has just wrapped a campaign for Devil Wears Prada 2! @dolly_pawton

I have been to a lot of events but I have never been to one quite like this, and watching the dogs explore the room, pose on the dog beds and make themselves completely at home told you everything you needed to know about the afternoon ahead.

We were joined by a brilliant mix of dog influencers, interior designers, long standing clients and friends of the brand. One of the highlights for me personally was meeting Interior Designer Nathan Rollinson and having the chance to exchange a little in British Sign Language, something I have been studying at university. It was one of those small moments that stays with you.

Before the event I had spent time carefully arranging the gift bags, each one personalised with an individual monogram or motif. Seeing guests discover them and find something made specifically for them was such a lovely reminder of what The Pedigree Edit is really about. That idea that the things we surround ourselves with should feel entirely our own.

The Pedigree Edit was born from exactly that feeling. Homes are never just about how they look. They are about the lives lived within them, the personalities that shape them and the dogs that make them feel truly complete. I have two cockapoos of my own so I may be slightly biased, but I think any dog owner understands that instinctively.

The collection brings together ten hand-drawn embroidered dog motifs across bed linen, towels, robes, washbags and cushions, each one designed to feel personal rather than simply decorative. Paired with bespoke monogramming, every piece becomes something that belongs entirely to the home it is made for. We are also so proud that the fabrics are woven by The Isle Mill and that our cushions and washbags are handcrafted just outside Edinburgh. That connection to Scottish craft runs through everything we do and this collection is no different.

We are so grateful to Sophie and her wonderful team, to Andrew Martin and to every single guest who joined us on 8th June. It was a room full of warmth, beautiful things and some very, very good dogs.
